Resources and Best Practices
Welcome to the section dedicated to the archive of both useful, downloadable material and resources that were produced by of are linked to the TraiN2K project, as well as to the database of successful management experiences within the Natura 2000 Network and protected areas, structured to support the project’s four core training pillars: Management, Restoration, Surveillance, and Soft Skills.
The “Resources” section hosts two archives: one dedicated to deliverables and documents produced by the project itself; and one dedicated to attidional, useful resources linked to the project’s topics and actions.
The “Best Practices” section hosts a comprehensive catalog of case studies and best practices, organized by themed categories related to the above-mentioned pillars, including details on habitat types and biogeographical regions. You can explore case studies spanning different kinds of ecosystems present in the European continent (e.g. forests, grasslands, marine and coastal environments, peat bogs, inland wetlands, shrubby formations, and rocky environments), including cross-border and transnational experiences that cover diverse areas and countries.
Primarily derived from EU-funded Programmes and other successful initiatives, all case studies are contextualized and described with the following information: project information, context data, objectives, description of the best practice, results and impacts achieved, and web links to the initiative.
This collection of best practices was performed with the aim of providing TraiN2K project’s trainees, community of stakeholders and platform users with a unique database of exemplary initiatives and experiences to replicate and disseminate.
